Friday Features | waving the white flag

I’m having one of those weeks where I can’t catch up.

Why does my family insist on eating a meal every night? Didn’t I feed them yesterday? Also, what’s this about needing clean underwear? Turn it inside out!

Okay, enough whining. Here are awesome things I found while looking around this week:

+I loved participating in The Scintilla Project. Sometimes I feel like my creativity is all dried up. Then one of these writing bandwagons come along, swelling me up with stories and ideas. Check out the nominations for favorite responses, and I’m honored one of my posts was picked up as a fav.

+A special thank you to Scintilla masterminds Kim, Onyi, and Dominique.

+I am so loving the Stratejoy community. What an awesome group of supportive women. You can catch me over there on Sundays, and if you missed my first two posts, I linked them for you in this post.

+Hayley from The Tiny Twig is just plain awesome. I wish I met her at Blissdom. But I was too busy getting lost and joining other people’s weddings. Anyway, I’ve been toying with the idea of making a hair change, and when I read her post on how to have awesome bangs, I felt inspired to take on the idea of bangs. I may have gotten my hair cut yesterday. And I may have walked out with bangs. Details forthcoming.

+Per usual, I’m behind the times. If Elmo and Mr. Noodle don’t cover it in the Elmo’s World segment, I haven’t heard of it. My recent new-to-me discovery are podcats from Simple Mom and Joy the Baker. Now I have it in my head I want to do a podcast. Podcasts cover my favorite things: talking, talking, and more talking. I’ll write into Elmo and Mr. Noodle for advice on how to procede.

What cool stuff did you read this week? Any favorite Scintilla posts? Thoughts on bangs? What are your favorite podcasts? Do you find Mr. Noodle as creepy as I do?
