Remember when I asked you all to fill out this survey for me?  (Pst…you can still fill it out; I will keep it open for a few more weeks.)

I’m always working to improve this blog and to respond to the ebb and flow of the Internet while still remaining true to who am I and what I like to write.  And the thing about that is, I like to change a lot.  I bore easily, and I like to shake things up.

So part of the purpose of the survey was to see what readers like to read best, and the other side of the survey asked what you wanted to see more of – and what new stuff I should add.

And everyone said they like the blog how it is.  But would be open to some new content like videos, tutorials, DIY, and more everyday stuff, like what’s currently on my book shelf.

Here are a few key findings of Sunny Side Up readers:

+Most everyone is married or in a serious relationship.

+Most all of you love to read.

+Most everyone is interested in living a healthy lifestyle and wants to read more about how I work to maintain a healthy life.

+By far, readers want to read personal stories about motherhood, Kate, marriage and family, challenges/struggles, etc…  Good news.  I have no shortage of that stuff.

+I was asked to cover these topics: art projects for kids; career development/freelancing/consulting; health and fitness; DIY; personal stories; blogging tutorials (how to start a blog, maintain a blog, post ideas, etc…).

I’ve struggled in the past to make sure my content appealed to everyone.  But one of the things I’ve learned about blogging (and life in general) is that if try to satisfy everyone, I quickly satisfy no one.

So, here’s my thinking.  I’m going to cover those things, in some way, in a Sarah way, in keeping with my Sunny Side Up feeling.  And I’m always open to suggestions, comments, and requests.

I love writing this blog, and I’m glad you like to read it.  It’s the thing I could do all day, everyday, and mostly, I do just that.  I’m excited to add more special features – like videos – and I hope you enjoy them.  Please email me to ask any question, submit a blog post idea, or just to say “hello.”
