I think one of the best parts of a vacation are coming home.  There’s nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

When I wasn’t removing sand from Kate’s every crevice, I read some great stuff around the Internet this week:

+This week I wrote a giant Project Life post with my tips, tricks, and strategies.  If you are thinking about picking up a Project Life, you might want to hold on until Elise’s kit pops up in November.  I’ve been following Elise for years, and I can’t wait to order her Seafoam kit.

+I loved Melissa’s first blogger interview, so I couldn’t wait to watch her second blogger interview.  It’s fun to hear the voices and see the faces behind some of my favorite bloggers.

+The Stratejoy essay contest is in full swing.  Head on over there to read some awesome essays.

+I enjoy Tsh from Simple Mom, so I’ve followed her over to Babble for her column Dsh with Tsh.

+Thank you for all the book suggestions.  Last week I read Gone Girl, Let’s Pretend this Never Happened, and I am almost done with Divergent.  I’ll write up some reviews soon.

What did you read this week?  Any good links?  Good books?

I read Divergent, too. I heard it was good for fans of The Hunger Games, but I didn’t like it nearly as much. I am intrigued enough to start reading the second book, though!

I am on the wait list at the library for Matched by Ally Condie, which is another dystopia kind of book. I am also waiting for a book by Laura Vanderkam – I haven’t read any of her books yet, but I like her choice of topics.

P.S. Welcome back! Glad Kate had fun and I hope you did, too.

I actually liked Divergent a little more than The Hunger Games and I loved Insurgent (the sequel) more than Divergent, which is unusual. I liked Matched (especially the world building) but I was a little disappointed in Crossed, which is its sequel. Another good dystopian is Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

I am reading “Gone Girl” right now — it’s good! I sort of took a break from reading anything but Spanish things (i.e. my textbook and vocab cards) but now that the test is over I’ve got my Kindle stocked up!
