Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion

I’ve been using Johnson and Johnson’s Purpose face moisturizer for years.  But it’s hard to come by.  So when I can’t find it, I usually pick up whatever’s on sale.  I’ve had some misses.  But this Eucerin moisturizer is a hit.  It is lightweight and leaves my skin feeling moisturized without feeling too heavy and slick.

Women’s Perfect Ribbed Tanks

I love layering tanks.  They are the perfect basic for any wardrobe.  But I’m picky about my tank tops.  I’ve bought tanks that stretched out, pilled, faded, etc…  But these tank tops from Old Navy have held up the best and fit me the nicest.  The cut and fabric are flattering, and the bold stripes look great under cardigans and wraps.  I bought this one in red, and two more in navy blue and white stripes and gray and white stripes.

Kindle E-Reader

Amazon ran a special for Prime and Amazon credit card holders a couple of weeks ago, so I picked up this e-reader for $47.  I was one of the last people I know to get an iPhone.  And I’m probably one of the last people to pick up an e-reader.  But I’m glad I held off until this Amazon special came around, and I love using this e-reader.  I’ve already read four books on it in two weeks.  I find it user friendly, easy on the eyes, and easy to transport in my purse.  Side benefit: Belle destroyed numerous books due to her paper-eating fetish, so now I don’t have to worry that my latest read will be ripped into itty bitty pieces.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush

This blush is not a new thing, but it must be popular because it took me forever to get my hands on it.  My favorite YouTube Beauty Guru, EmilyNoel83, talked about this blush in a bunch of her videos, and if she likes something, it is guarenteed I will, too.  So I snagged this blush (in natural) as soon as I spotted it at my grocery.  I wish I found it sooner – it would have saved me from purchasing lesser blushes.  While I can’t really say that this blush boosts my mood (as it claims), I can say it leaves a wonderfully natural finish while still providing a great color payoff.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze

This is another one of those popular products that took a while to find.  I have a couple of these, but Bad to the Bronze is my favorite.  I like to use it as both an eyeshadow base and a stand alone eyeshadow.  If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll use it as a base and layer in some powder eyeshadows.  But most of the time, I’m running out of time to get any makeup on, so I dab some color onto my lids, quickly swipe on some eyeliner, curl and coat my lashes, and I’m done.  I hope to add some more colors to my collection soon.

J.R. Watkins Body Lotion in Green Tea and Aloe

If you want to smell awesome, you want this lotion.  After I get out of the shower, I slather this stuff all over.  It goes on lick and takes some work to get it rubbed in.  But, I’m telling you, my legs have never been silkier.  And I smell real good.  Fresh and clean and citrusy.

You tell me – what did you love in August?

Great price for your Kindle! I’ve been dragging my feet on the e-reader front. I feel like I need to do research on the pros and cons between the Kindle and the Nook. I’d like to be able to borrow e-books from the local library and I don’t know if they are available in one format more than the other. I have heard you can buy books from both Amazon and B&N for $1 or 2, but I don’t know they are good reads. Sad that two choices are one too many for me!

I can borrow books from the library on my Kindle, and I’m pretty sure you can do that with the Nook, too. There are a pretty good selection of cheap books on Amazon, and Amazon also has a “deal of the day” where a new book is on sale for about $2. I find the Kindle screen perfect for reading since it’s not a LCD screen – it looks just like a book. Good luck on your decision and happy reading! Let me know if you have any Kindle questions.

I love Eucerin body lotion — my skin gets so dry in the winter that their body lotion is the only brand I’ve used that actually works. This summer I’ve been using a lighter-weight Eucerin body lotion with SPF.

I’ve been a Vaseline user for years, but I am into Eurcerin now. It feels lighter and less greasy.

I’m so glad you love your Kindle! I feel like I read so much faster on mine!
