Thank you for your sweet birthday comments, tweets, Facebook messages, and texts. I so appreciate it!
So I’ve been pining for a Wacom Tablet, and Dan surprised me with one for my birthday. I’ve spent lots of time working on adding my handwriting to pictures and graphics using the stylus on my tablet. It’s hard. I’m not going to admit how long it took me to write that ”hi” in the graphic above.
Practice makes progress with this tablet. If you have one and have some suggestions for me, please let me a comment or email me (sarah AT bagley DOT org). If you are into these graphics I’ve been making, let me know, and I can whip up some tutorial posts. I love myself some graphics!
Okay, let’s see, here are some of my favorite links and reads this week:
+Sometimes I’m late to the party. Okay, okay, so lots of times, I’m late to the party. Jess Lively is a small business/blogging/soloprenuer guru I’ve recently discovered, and I love her blog and her personality. She’s been around a good long while, so I’ve been skipping around her archives and enjoying her take on living with intention.
+My love for Gretchen Rubin knows no bounds, so of course I ordered her new book, Happier at Home. As soon as it arrived, I dove in, and I’m already half way through. I need to slow down on this book and savor it but I can’t help myself because Gretchen’s writing style and insights pull me in. She never fails to inspire me and get me thinking about my own happiness.
+Besides Gretchen Rubin, my other love is efficiency. I love Laura Vanderkam’s blog – it’s chalk full of advice for seizing the day and squeezing as much as you can out of your schedule.
I’m taking off this weekend for another group exercise challenge. Eight hours Saturday and Sunday of fitness, fitness, and more fitness. I can’t wait – and I’m excited to share more soon.
XO!
