Friday features | hair cut preview

I finally made an appointment for Kate to get her first hair cut.  This kid was born with tons of hair, and it never fell out, just grew and grew and grew.  Here’s a preview picture – look for the full story next week.

+My pal Rachel amazes me with her fantastic artwork.  Her newest print Things That Are Awesome is just awesome.  Her style is modern and fun and makes me wish I could draw something, anything.  If you are a local Northern Virginian, catch Rachel at one of her upcoming shows.

+I agreed with Lydia Netzer’s article 15 Ways to Stay Married for 15 Years.  Lots of good advice there.

+Natasha and I are pals from our college newspaper days, and she writes a blog about her major life transition from a newlywed living in DC to her adventures as a foreign service wife in El Salvador.  She and her husband finally made the move to El Salvador, and I’m living vicariously through all her lovely photos.

After teaching four times this week and once more tomorrow morning, I’m in desperate need of some R&R, which I hope to get this weekend.  Next week I start teaching two more classes, so I’m gearing up for a busy October.  What are your weekend plans?
