I love the concrete schedule school brings.
Since I know Kate has school two mornings a week, I scheduled her gymnastics class and playgroup for two other mornings. And I plan a playdate and errands for our remaining morning.
This means we are scheduled up five mornings a week.
As someone who loves routine and schedule and knowing what’s coming, these past few weeks have been the most productive and enjoyable weeks since I left the predictability of my cubicle job for moms world.
One of my {mostly} stay-at-home-mom gripes is the helter skelter schedule. But now that Kate is two, I know when she’ll want to eat, when she’ll nap, how long I can go on errands before the meltdown takes place.
And now with school, our weeks are scheduled to the max, and we’re happier for it. Loosy goosey just isn’t my style.
Are you big into scheduled weeks? I leave some wiggle room, but I’m happier with a full schedule.
