We are super into pizza around here. It’s a once-a-week meal at Casa Bagley. We do take out and take-and-bake and we also like to buy pre-made dough to form our own pie.
The other day I was dying for a meat lovers pizza. I’m usually all about the margherita pizza, but I had to have a meat pizza.
Lucky for me, Dan is all about meat, so he was on board for a DIY meat lover’s pizza. Here’s what we did:
Ingredients
-1 ball of premade dough (We like this brand. Or, if you are feeling adventurous, make your own.)
-1/2 cup tomato sauce (We use Ragu traditional.)
-couple handfuls of mozzarella cheese
-small handful of cheddar cheese
-couple slices of deli sliced ham
-1/2 cup of diced up pancetta
-couple slices of deli sliced salami
-pizza seasoning (We like this pizza seasoning from Penzys.)
Make sure you set out your dough for a couple hours if you are using the frozen dough. Once your dough is soft, roll it out and cover with tomato sauce. Top with cheese, ham, pancetta, and salami and sprinkle with pizza seasoning. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350.
Dan says this is one of our best pizzas yet. It definitely hits the spot when you are craving a cheesy, meaty pizza. The pancetta makes it salty, and the trio of meats makes this pizza deliciously filling.
Are you a DIY pizza lover or do you prefer take out?
