Kate and I were bachelorettes again last week.

Lots of cereal and cheese and crackers and Pirate’s Booty eating on the couch while Kate watched Dino Dan and I read Tiny Beautiful Things.

Kate’s newest thing is pretend play with her babies.Β  We put the babies in her high chair, dressed them up in her pajamas, and put them to night night.

She even suckered me into buying her her first Cabbage Patch doll she found at Costco.

Since it’s a long go alone with Dan’s out of town, I tried to work on as much self care as I could.

I’m always wanting to get ahead as possible, but sometimes it’s good to do nothing.

Especially sinceΒ I taught five classes last week (and I’m teaching six this week), I worked to ask myself, have I taken some minutes to rest?

This week’s going to be a challenge, too, so I’m giving myself permission to take it easy.Β  Do you work to find areas of rest in your week?
