I take life kind of seriously.

Okay, a lot seriously.

Because I’m a Type A.

Because I’m a (recovering) perfectionists.

Because I really care.

But I’ve noticed a lightening.  Especially in the realm of parenting.  A loosening grip.  A light heartedness.

It’s not that I care less.  I just approach more life stuff with a sense of humor.  A light heart.  An openness where the light can shine in.

I find myself wanting SO badly to control things, going down Worst Case Scenario Road when I worry. But then, I check myself, remind myself that HRH is smart and cautious and thoughtful, and then…we all have a good time. It’s a process, and I’ll surely never stop worrying, but lightening is a great term for it! 🙂

    • Ha! Dan calls me “Worst Case Scenario.” 😉 Agreed, I will probably never not be a worrier. So I’m choosing to see places where I could lighten up a bit. 🙂
