Today’s show is all about mindfulness, a topic I’m passionate about! I stumbled across Breathe, Mama, Breathe by Shonda Moralis on a blog post about Mother’s Day gifts, found the book on Amazon, and immediately ordered it. Then I got to finding Shonda online and sent her a message asking her to be on my show. I am thrilled she said yes, and we had a great chat all about mindfulness, meditation, and the daily (if not hourly!) practice of catching those negative thoughts and feelings and re-framing our mindsets.
In this show Shonda offers several types of mindfulness breaks I know anyone could alter to fit their lives. These mindful breaks are short and doable, no need to find yourself a quiet space for hours on end. In a few moments time, you can find more peace in your life – I know I have! We also chat about motherhood, loneliness and isolation, and how mantras can help in those trying times.
