Carolee Walker is a U.S. Department of State Public Affairs Officer by day with a side hustle as a fitness blogger, writer, and author. Her work appears in the Washington Post, Women’s Running, the Chicago Tribune, the Toronto Sun, the Baltimore Sun, the Tyler Morning Telegraph, the Huffington Post, and Thrive Global, among others. She also hosts a podcast, “My Brain on Endorphins.”
In this episode, Carolee and I chat about how she came to start prioritizing exercise in her life and the tremendous change it brought about in not only her physical appearance but also her mood and confidence. We discussed how to get started on an exercise routine (hint: do not go from zero to Cross Fit! There’s a lot in between!), maintaining healthy habits, and accepting the sometimes slow-going feeling that comes with making big changes.
I hope this episodes inspires you to make yourself a priority! Take those small steps if you’re looking to get back to exercise – and stick with it! Carolee offers tangible tips anyone can apply to start on the path to a happier, healthier lifestyle.
