writer + podcaster + speaker

Hi! I’m Sarah, and I’m passionate about building community, creating real connections, and the power of creativity. I believe great things happen at the intersection of passion and purpose.

I live in Northern Virginia with my husband (and college sweetheart) Dan, our three kids, and our Labrador/Golden mix, Beatrice. I love black coffee and drink multiple cups a day, I believe in leggings as pants, and I think the morning is the best part of the day.

I’m passionate about the power of connection. I believe the key to a happy and fulfilling life depends on our connections to ourselves, others, and something bigger. Through my writing, blogging, podcast, and vlogs, I explore the concept of connection and what it means to live the bigger life.

To connect with me, read my blog, listen to a podcast episode, watch a video, and be sure to email me and tell me about yourself.

power of connection

here's are my daily connection practices

Daily Exercise

I love exercise, and it’s my daily habit. Each week I teach several group fitness classes, and I also exercise on my own. I love lifting weights, yoga, and walking my dog.

Organizing is self-care for me. I connect to my space when it’s neat and organized and clutter free.

I believe in the power of mediation to calm our thoughts. I take a few minutes each day to meditate and connect back to myself.

Curating an Athleisure Wardrobe

Clothes are super important to me. I’ve always loved clothes, and I love styling myself in comfortable and put-together outfits.

Mindfulness Practice

I’m passionate about the power of mindfulness. Mindfulness is an everyday practice for  me, and I’m happier and more patient when I remember to stay in the moment.

I’ve been a writer since I was a little girl, and as an adult I’ve seen how writing is a powerful way to connect with others.

Welcome to Season 6 of the Sarah R. Bagley Podcast, now re-tooled as Kitchen Table Talk with Sarah R. Bagley! So why the change and what is Kitchen Table Talk? Since I’m back to work full time and taking classes, I wasn’t sure how I would keep up with interviews, and I was feeling like I wanted to make a change to the show. In our family, we spend a lot of time sitting and talking around the kitchen table. It’s where we share about

Podcast #283 // Barbara Lowe on Whole Self, Whole Life

what I do to take care of myself

Self care isn’t selfish. It’s imperative I take care good care of myself, so I can take care of my family. One of my most important values is giving to others, but I can’t give what I don’t have. Here are a few of my favorite ways to connect and take care of myself.

Hot Baths

I love to run a hot bath, pour in Epsom salts, drop in a bath bomb, and read Mindful Magazine.

Long Walks

Walking my dog, Bea, is one of my favorite ways to check back in with myself. I listen to a podcast or music while I mindfully put one foot in front of the other.

I love to read most anything. I usually have one fiction and one non-fiction book going at any one time. I also love Yoga Journal, Real Simple, and Mindful Magazine.

A Good Talk

Not a day goes by that I don’t call my mom. I Vox friends throughout the day. And Dan and I love weekend chats over hot coffee.
